On-screen Rashad epitomizes what MMA is all about, a consummate meld of strong mind, body and indomitable fighting spirit.

Rodney’s on-screen fiancée, Katiana, is the spicy Latin glue that binds his gym together. Every decision must first run through her, such as Rodney mentoring another charity case. Her jaw-dropping looks put patrons in a trance. Stare too long however, and you could violate one of Combat Club’s golden rules.

"Grind to Five Joe", a middle-aged every man, Joe is a regular guy with a regular job. Joe passes the time at the gym while hanging with the guys, but it's mostly to keep his beer belly in check.

Mark Moormann is South Florida-based filmmaker who has directed and produced critically acclaimed documentaries including the 2022 Paramount + release THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED: the Story of Don McLean’s ‘American Pie,’ the Grammy-nominated TOM DOWD & THE LANGUAGE OF MUSIC, and the SXSW-award winning FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE. Mark is known for his nimble shooting style and disarming demeanor that enables him to capture people and places in a truthful, uninhibited manner. Mark’s background includes recording studio and location shoots with musical icons including Ray Charles, Eric Clapton, Aerosmith, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Michael Jackson and Amy Winehouse. Mark has documented top level combat sports athletes utilizing a low-key dynamic shooting style for organizations such as the UFC, PFL, and Top Rank Boxing.

Emily Frias is an established bilingual television producer with credits on documentaries including THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED: the Story of Don McLean’s ‘American Pie,’ commercials, and short films. Her clients include Modelo, UFC, and Max Preps Sports. Her collaboration with Moormann began producing promos for ESPN featuring UFC fighters, Jorge Masvidal, Robbie Lawler, Colby Covington, Walt Harris, Eryk Anders, Alexei Olenik, and Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Emily’s calm composure under pressure and ability to navigate diverse working environments, has earned her the respect of directors, producers, crew members, clients, and talent. Emily’s background as an actress and performer played a key role in casting and talent coordination for COMBAT CLUB.

WRITER / ACTOR
Kyle Becker is a stand-up comedian and screenwriter based in New York. A graduate of Emerson's Visual Arts program in Boston, Kyle was the founder of the East Coast Comedy Crew YouTube channel while still in high school. He honed his comedic skills then as a prolific creator of short sketch comedy pieces he acted in, produced, wrote, and directed. Becker was introduced to MMA under Moormann, working together on shoots at ATT gym in South Florida. His research for COMBAT CLUB led him to train at the renowned Serra Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy on Long Island.
